How to Register

Speakers enjoy a discounted registration rate for MES. Please use the “Speaker” ticket type when registering.

Travel Information

Travel and hotel arrangements and costs are the speaker’s responsibility. Please consult the MES Conference website for some helpful information to assist you in making your hotel/travel arrangements.

Audio Visual

The following standard equipment will be provided in each keynote, session, workshop, or breakout room:

  • 1 Laptop
  • LCD projector
  • Screen
  • Slide advancer
  • Microphones may include: wireless lavaliere, podium microphone, standing aisle microphone for Q&A
  • Wireless internet is provided and is suitable for email and light web-surfing

You will not need to use your laptop and presentations will be pre-loaded on the conference computers. We always recommend that you bring a backup of your presentation on a USB drive.

There is an additional charge for any AV equipment NOT listed as part of the Standard Equipment above. Please Note: Charges for any additional equipment are the speaker’s responsibility.

Speaking at the Conference

As a reminder, presentations should be reviewed by the MEEA staff that is planning your panel. Sales pitches and overt product or company plugs are discouraged. If you go into a sales pitch, the panel moderator will move on to the next speaker. Please arrive in your assigned session room 15 minutes prior to your session. There will be Audio Visual Assistants assigned to each room. Please check in with the MEEA staff planning your panel to let them know you have arrived. The Audio Visual Assistants will have radio contact with the conference organizers and AV technicians.

Speaker Ready Room

The Speaker Ready Room (unattended) will be equipped with a laptop to view your presentation and Audio Visual Staff will be accessible during the following hours:

  • Wednesday, February 26 – 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Thursday, February 27 – 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Friday, February 28 – 7:00 am – 11:00 am
